We’re proud to share that Skills 4 Life Pediatric Occupational Therapy is endorsing a new tool to fight COVID: CO Exposure Notifications.

Join the Statewide Exposure Notification System

In partnership with Google and Apple, Colorado is launching its statewide exposure notification system. The service quickly notifies users if they’ve been exposed to COVID-19. As a result, users can reduce the risk to loved ones. They can seek medical advice, and slow the spread of the virus.

Use Your Smartphone to Get Alerts

When users enable CO Exposure Notifications, their smartphones will share anonymous tokens with other users through their phones’ Bluetooth technology. If another user tests positive for COVID-19 within a 14-day period and chooses to upload their results, users at risk of infection will receive an alert of potential exposure. The service doesn’t associate tokens with any phone number, name, location, or IP address. They change every 15 minutes to add an extra layer of anonymity.

The service was created with public trust in mind. It does not use your GPS. No location data or personally identifiable information is ever collected, stored, or transmitted.

Help Colorado Stop the Spread

We ask that you strongly consider activating CO Exposure Notifications. Knowing about an exposure allows you to reduce the risk to your family, friends, neighbors, coworkers, and community.
